Claire E. (Slavin) Brennan, 91, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 3, 1926 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter, of the late Edward and Edna (Palmer) Slavin.

During her lifetime, Claire lived in Fort Edward, Hudson Falls and Argyle. On September 29, 1946, she married William “Bill” Brennan and the couple celebrated 64 years of marriage. Bill passed away October 10, 2000. Claire was a homemaker who loved to sew outfits and bake goodies for weekends when company came to visit. She was a life member of the Argyle Senior Citizens and enjoyed their day trips.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sister, Patricia Lavin, Step-father, John Slavin and son in law, John Sidusky.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Betsey Sidusky, her grandson, Jason Sidusky, her sister, Muriel Londrigan and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

At Claire’s request there will be no calling hours or services.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Argyle Fire Department, P.O. Box 263, Argyle, NY 12809.
