Denais was a long time and dedicated communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward, where she was very active in church activities and events. She was also a busy and energetic person in her community, known and loved by many others. Many know of her obsession with maintaining and enjoying her home swimming pool.

Her most treasured time was spent with her children, whom she simply adored.

Denais was predeceased by her brother, William Joseph Etu, 4th; her maternal grandparents, John and Isabel Dixon; and her paternal grandparents, William and Leafa Etu.
