Helen Jean Hoffman, 79, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

Born on September 2, 1938 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late, Ira and Myrtle (VanDyke) Berrian.

On June 2, 1962 Helen married William James Hoffman Sr. at the Schenectady Nazarene Church. They were married for 9 years until his passing in 1971.

Helen worked for many years at West Milton as a fork lift driver and also as a cafeteria worker.

She enjoyed going fishing with her grandchildren, bingo, selling ice cream, the outdoors and singing. She also enjoyed plastic canvas crafting. Helen especially loved her family and spending time with them.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen is predeceased by her siblings, Ira Berrian, Effie Genre, Harold Berrian, Samuel Berrian, Marilyn Berrian, Margaret Kaufman and Myrtle Lamos; her granddaughter, Nakita Mallory; and her great granddaughter, Lexus Lynn Sterling.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, William Hoffman, Sarah Mallory and her husband, Daniel; her grandchildren, Steven Hoffman and his fiancé, Tamika, James Mallory and his wife, Jessica, Heather Sterling and her husband, Chris and Jessica Mallory; her step granddaughter, Lisa Cruz and her husband, Miguel; her brother, Ron Berrian; her daughter-in-law, Christine Hoffman Land; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10am on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. To leave online condolences please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Albany, NY.
