Obituary for Ann Rose St. Croix

Cohoes

Ann Rose St. Croix, 62 of Cohoes passed away after complications from surgery surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday October, 16, 2018.

She was born on March 21, 1956 in Alexandria, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. Smith and Mary K. (Colligan) Robinson.

Shortly after Ann was born her family moved to Jefferson County, NY where she spent her childhood.

Ann attended SUNY Binghamton and then finished her Masters in Gerontology in Texas at North Texas State University. Her roots brought her back to New York where she settled into The Capital Region and started what became a very successful career in Recruitment and Staffing Services while raising her two daughters. If you knew Ann, you knew the girls were her pride and joy. For over 35 years she took pride in helping people find work and grow their passion to turn work into careers. She most enjoyed working with Students and Caregivers that assisted with Senior Citizens.

She loved being in the sun by the ocean or pool with a cold Corona and lime. What brought the biggest smile to Ann’s face was her family. She dedicated years taking care of her parents in their older years and most recently was over the moon over her three grandchildren. It’s an ongoing joke that she loved them more than the rest of the family combined. Ann always made it a point to leave people better than she found them. She genuinely cared about humanity and doing the right thing. Her house was surrounded by loving and inspirational quotes and a sweet collection of Willow Tree Figurines.

In addition to Ann’s parents she is predeceased by her step father, Richard E. Robinson and her sister, Margaret Smith.

Left to cherish Ann’s memory are her loving family who loved her a “Bushell and a Peck” includes her daughters, Jessie Reamer (Aaron) and Erinn St. Croix; grandchildren, Bryce Peterson, Levi Reamer and Declan St. Croix; brother, Thomas J. Smith (Deborah Ann Livingston); step brother, Richard J. Robinson (Jill); step sister, Debbie Willette; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Ann’s request there will be no calling hours.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church 167 Milton Ave
Ballston Spa, NY 12020.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
