ARLENE (MURRAY) VOLPE CONNELL
Hudson Falls, NY – Arlene (Murray) Volpe Connell, 79 passed away Monday April 8, 2019 after a brief illness at the Haynes House of Hope.
Arlene was born to Adlor and Sabina (Colvin) Murray on December 30, 1939 in Fort Edward, NY.
Arlene was employed for many years with the Washington County Economic Opportunity Council and enjoyed her retirement with frequent trips to the coast of Maine visiting family.
Arlene’s true passion was her love of family and friends, and the lifelong friendships developed over the years. She resided for many years at the Earl Towers in Hudson Falls. She was the life of the party and will be missed by all.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Connell, her brothers, Adlor Murray Jr. and Harold Murray and daughter-in-law Jorja Michele Volpe, formally of Kittery, ME.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Anne Flynn (Brian) of Kittery Point, ME. Sons, Matthew Volpe of Kittery, ME, Michael Volpe of Hudson Falls, and Daniel Volpe (Cherri) of Hartford, NY. Arlene was blessed to have 7 beautiful grand- daughters, Meghan Potvin (Matt) of Scarborough, ME. Allison Flynn of Kittery Point, ME, Fleshia Volpe of Hartford, NY, Emily Anne Flynn of Bozeman, MT, Katherine Volpe of Boston, MA, Cailyn Flynn of Kittery Point, ME and Camie Volpe of Hartford, NY.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of life will take place at the VFW Post 2475 at 30 Cooper Street in Glens Falls, NY following the mass.
