Obituary for Cynthia Marie Caputo

Cynthia Marie Caputo
FORT EDWARD

Cynthia M. Caputo, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital of a heart attack.

Born November 23, 1956 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Angeline (Gabriele) Caputo and the late Dominick Caputo.

Cindy was employed for over 30 years as a legal assistant to John Fitzgerald, Esq. in Glens Falls.

She enjoyed going to garage sales and searching for antiques. Cindy also rescued Labrador retrievers and German shepherds. She participated in many fundraisers including raising money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Cindy enjoyed the ocean and traveling to Maine. She even made a spontaneous trip to grab an ice cream cone at Brown’s Ice Cream in York, ME on a whim once with her companion Russ. Her family was the most important thing to her and she rarely missed a game for her children or grandchildren’s sports. She adored all her family vacations and made sure that every family Christmas was special. Most of all, Cindy will be remembered for being completely unselfish. She was always putting others first and making everyone feel welcome in her home. Her door was always open and she made everyone feel wanted and needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her father, Cindy was predeceased by her brothers-in law; Dale Burdick and Jerry Reynolds.

Left to cherish her memory are her companion of 23 years, Russ Snowball, her mother, Angeline Caputo, her children; Gabriele Caputo (Cara), Michael Johnson (Amy Hayes), and Scott Regner (Shannon), her grandchildren; Cole Brunnell, Margaret, Catherine, and Brendan Caputo, and Colin and Olivia Regner, her siblings; Debora Burdick, Theresa Caputo, Louis Caputo (Kathy), Anthony Caputo (Susan), Elizabeth Dragon (Jerome “Fitzy”), Sharon Caputo and Dominick Caputo II (Anne), her nieces and nephews; Dan, Rachel, Jason, Mariah, Marc, Danielle, Jared, Dominick III, Karina, Lexi, Maddy, and Gabby, her close friends, Nancy, Suzie, and Mary Anne, as well as many other work friends.

Friends may call from 4-8pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10am at the funeral home on Thursday, August 30, 2018 with Rev. Kelly Warner officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Cindy’s name can be made to the NYS Troopers PBA Signal 30, 120 State St., Suite 2
