Obituary for Frederick Clark

HARTFORD

Frederick Clark, 87, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the Pines in Glens Falls with his family by his side.

Born May 19, 1931 in Hartford, NY, he was the son of the late John and Mabel (Marshall) Clark.

Frederick proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1948-1952 where he earned the Conspicuous Service Star and the Medal For Merit.

Upon returning home, Fred married Eula Marie Forni on January 24, 1953 in the Hartford Baptist Church. Together they raised their family and owned and operated Clark Farm, a very successful dairy farm for forty years.

Fred was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed sports, including basketball and football, but baseball was his favorite.

In addition to his parents, Fred is predeceased by his wife, Eula Marie Clark who passed away in 2016, his brothers; Howard Clark (Ella), Harold Clark (Florence), Austin Clark (Kathryn), James Clark (Harriet), Leslie Clark, and John Clark (Mildred), his brothers-in-law; Clarence Woodcock, Donald Humiston, Charles Sommers (Helen), Floyd Forni, and Vaughn Spaulding (Jessie), as well as his sister-in-law Carol Forni.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Susan Bradt (James), Kathy Berstell (Randall), Linda Litchfield (Bruce), and Frederick Clark (Connie), his grandchildren; Sharon Santacroce (John), Scott Berstell, Jeffrey Berstell, Matthew Litchfield, Jennifer Litchfield, Sarah Clark, and Lauren Clark, his great-grandchildren; Payton Santacroce and Eva Santacroce, his sisters, Irene Woodcock and Marie Humiston. His sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Eleanor Clark, Charles Forni (Janet), Dale Forni (Stella), Paul Forni, Vernon Ebert (Thelma), and James Frank (Dorothy).

Friends may call from 12-1pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809. A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm at the funeral home following the calling hour.

Burial will take place following the services at Morningside Cemetery in Hartford, NY.
