John E. “Yogi” Sprague Jr., 57, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at his home.
Born on July 29, 1960, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late John and Marilyn (Johnson) Sprague Sr.
Yogi was a 1978 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. He later joined the United States Navy. For many years he worked as a deliverer for Hill Electric in Glens Falls.
He enjoyed leather working and raising his ducks.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his step-mother, Patricia Joynson Sprague; his sister, Shirl Sprague Harris and her husband, Douglas.
Left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Gary A Sprague and his wife, Cindy, and Peter Sprague; his step-sister, Nancy Crowell and her husband, Robert; his nieces and nephews, Brittney Sprague and her significant other, Matt Mosher, Brandon Sprague and his fiancé, Ashlee Hitchcock, Breanne Sprague and her fiancé, Travis Dwyer, and Douglas Harris Jr.; and several cousins.
At Yogi’s request there will be no calling hours.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
