Obituary for Marilyn Yvonne Stevens (Dietze)
Marilyn Yvonne Stevens 84 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
She was born on October 27, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Helen (Hazelton) and Herbert Dietze.
Mary was a graduate of Hudson Falls School. On July 8, 1956 she married William Stevens at St. Mary's Church of Hudson Falls. She enjoyed cleaning houses for many years. During her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her cat and playing cards with her family.
Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother William Dietze, her sister Elaine Roberts, brother-in-law Ronald Stevens and her granddaughter Katelyn.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Crystal Gillis (Gary) of Fort Edward, Linda LaRock, Michele Sherwood (Ed) and Denise Stevens all of Argyle; seven grandchildren, Amy Gillis, Jeremy Gillis, Sandra Forfa, Rachel Wallace, Bradley Sherwood, Christina Secor and Edward Sherwood III; her six great grandchildren; her sister Jona Trackey (Earl) of Hudson Falls, brother-in-law Paul Stevens (Lois) of Saratoga; sister-in-law Betty Wolcott of Castleton, Vermont; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Mary's request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
