Mark K. Sumner, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born in Glens Falls on July 24, 1955, he was the son of Elwin Sumner and the late Carole (Lundgren) Sumner.

He was a graduate of Hudson Falls School.

On July 19, 1980, Mark married Linda DeLong at the Hudson Falls Baptist Church.

This past February, he retired from the Warren County Airport after 18 years of service.

He was a member of the Pine Knolls Alliance Church in South Glens Falls.

Mark enjoyed listening to oldies music, was captivated with aircrafts, and was very meticulous with his yard work in which he won the Beautification Award from the city that he was very proud of. Most of all, Mark loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Along with his mother, Mark is predeceased by his in-laws, Raymond and Ruth DeLong.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Sumner, father, Elwin Sumner, son, Chad Sumner and wife Mary Lou, daughter, Katrina Garland and husband Brian, grandchildren, Justin and Hayley Gundersen, Courtney and Ari Jeffery, Lance Garland, Rylan & Lily Sumner, sister, Cathy Bowe and partner Harry Mumblo, brother, Matt Sumner and wife Mary Kay, along with several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call from 12pm-3pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Pine Knolls Alliance Church 614 Gansevoort Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803 with Rev. William Church, officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Fort Edward.
