Patricia McDougall, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on October 19, 1934, in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Boyle) Martin.

She graduated from high school in Staten Island, NY and received her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Oswego in 1956. Pat was a teacher for 24 years at Hudson Falls Central School, retiring in 1997. She was the original owner of the Anvil Inn Restaurant in Fort Edward.

Pat was a member of the New York State Teachers Association, Fort Edward School Board serving many years as President and the George Satterlee Hose Company Auxiliary in Fort Edward.

She was very proud of her accomplishment of playing basketball at (old) Madison Square Garden during her high school years. Pat enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, luncheons with friends, traveling with family and especially spending time celebrating holidays with her family.

In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her infant son, Dwight and her sister, Mary Clark.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Mary Ellen Griffin and her husband, Mark of Virginia, David McDougall Jr. and his wife, Ann Marie of Clifton Park and John McDougall Sr. and his wife, Robin of Queensbury; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kathryn) Griffin, Katharine (Christopher) Shearon, David III, John Jr. and Thomas McDougall; her great-grandchildren, Grady, Anne Griffin and Evan Shearon; her siblings, John (Terry) Martin, Donald (Jean) Martin and Thomas (Edith) Martin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated following the calling hours at 1pm at St. Joseph’s Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward.

Burial will follow the Memorial Mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
