Obituary for Steven Allen Hunt

Steven A. Hunt, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 17, 2019.

Born on July 22, 1957, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Ellen (Monty) Colvin and the late Ernest Hunt.

Steve enjoyed handyman work, being outdoors, wolves and everything about the Cherokee Tribe. He loved southern rock, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Steve loved to make people laugh and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Everyone knew that if they needed somewhere to go, Steve’s house was always open.

In addition to his father, Steve was predeceased by his siblings, Kathy Ryther and Michael Colvin; his maternal grandparents, John and Pauline Monty; his aunt, Auntie May Decker; and his uncle, Edwin Monty.

Left to cherish his memory include his mother, Ellen Colvin; his children, Jamilee Hunt, Nicole Abare (Travis) and Justin Hunt; the mother of his children, Sally Bardin; his special nephew, Kyle Bardin (Brittanie); his grandchildren, Cameron, Shayla, Emily, Cheyann, Lillian and Kya; his siblings, Linda Burch (John), Edwin Hunt (Patty), William Hunt (Ellen), Cindy Hall (Henry), Karen Bristol (Lance), JoAnn Colvin (Bill), John Colvin (Crystal), Tony Colvin (LeeAnne), Bobby Colvin (Laura), Christopher Colvin (Holly), Keith Colvin, Evon Clothier (Jody), Laura Hunt and Ernest Hunt II; his special nieces, Jeannie and Chrissy Ryther; his special nephew, Price Gibbs; his significant other, Billie Colvin; his special friends, Tinalee Farrar and Bill Kingsley; and several more nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Steven had many friends and will be greatly missed by many.

Friends may call from 3 to 4 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Burial and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
