HUDSON FALLS

Timothy M. Blackmer, 41, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 10, 1976 in Glens Falls, NY he was the son of the late Roy and June (Hoag) Blackmer.

Tim attended Queensbury High School and worked as a handyman and most recently for The Post Star.

On May 16, 2015, he married Heidi Hammond in Crandall Park.

Tim enjoyed searching for treasures at garage sales. He also enjoyed the ocean and traveling to Maine and New Hampshire. He liked to fish, have coffee with his family and friends, go to family cookouts, and spend time with his niece Jasmine and his granddaughter Mya. Tim was a very sociable guy and made sure his family woke up every day with a smile and a Snapchat. He was particularly proud of his nephew Joseph who is serving in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his parents, Tim is predeceased by his mother-in-law Lorraine Hammond.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heidi Blackmer, his children; Timothy Blackmer Jr. and Bruce Blackmer, his stepdaughter, Amber Moore and her husband Matthew, his granddaughter Mya Moore, his father-in-law, Edward Hammond, as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call from 2-3pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Renal Center at Glens Falls Hospital for their care and compassion during Tim’s illness, as well as Leslee from Fort Hudson for all her help and care.
