Obituary for Molly Elizabeth Cicero (Martindale)

Molly Elizabeth Cicero (Martindale)
QUEENSBURY — Molly E. Cicero, 88, passed into the Lord’s hands and her eternal home Monday, Aug. 6, 2018.

Born May 6, 1930, in Oakland, California.

Molly spent her younger years as a trick horseback rider on the rodeo circuit through the country. She met her husband, Buddy Cicero, of 50 years at General Electric, Fort Edward.

As a mother of five children, Molly had a busy life and was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The most important bright light in Molly’s life was truly her family. To her last breath, seeing faces of her family always brought a smile and a “God bless you” your way.

Molly had a strong heart for her faith and concerns for those with troubles and the less fortunate, especially children and their families, so we ask that in lieu of flowers, to honor her memory, please make a donation to the Open Door Mission, P.O. Box 3306 Glens Falls, NY 12801.

Molly was predeceased by her husband, Buddy, on Aug. 28, 2013. She is survived by her daughters; Gwen Cicero — Hook, Charmaine Long (husband Dan), Linda McDonald (husband Dan); and her sons Bruce (Robin), and Joe Cicero.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her dear friends and Cicero family.

Those who wish to share their condolences may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph’s Church, Fort Edward. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.

There will be a celebration of life at Sweet Basil Restaurant immediately following the cemetery ceremony.

Donations to help others in need would be greatly appreciated to the Open Door Mission.
